Temporary Ink

For all you fans of the show Miami Ink -- here is our own version. We are calling it Temporary Ink. JD is a tatoo FREAK. We only hope he grows out of it before he is old enough to get a real tatoo. Since Keith was visiting for the holidays he got to share in the joy. Here is JD applying a tatto to Keith's hand. He pushes on the sponge and sings the ABC song as a "timer." When he's done singing the tatoo should be ready.
Here are the guys showing off their body art.

Black Friday

Cold weather has finally come our way so we spent most of today in the house trying to entertain ourselves. JD and Uncle Keith read books.

JD helped Dad fix the lightblub in his Mater light.

And, we had to do a little shopping. Here we are taking a break looking at the Nemo fish and coloring.

Thanksgiving

What did we do for Thanksgiving? Uncle Keith taught JD about that traditional Thanksgiving sport -- Frisbee Golf. JD never quite got the hang of it but he liked throwing things.

George made some YUMMY fried turkey. To bad this isn't scratch and sniff blog.
Here are Uncle Keith and JD supervising the turkey.

Elmo Makes Music

Do you know the names of all these characters? We do! The last time we tried to go see Elmo Makes Music JD got the "vomiting virus." SO, this weekend we took a road trip for a second try at Elmo Makes Music. When JD started throwing up on Thursday morning we were worried. We throught there might be some sort of Sesame Street curse. Luckily, we were all healthy and happy on Saturday morning.

Here is JD posing for a picture with Elmo. Actually, this is a souvenir stand that was selling overpriced Elmo stuff. Fortunately for us, JD didn't know that he was supposed to want anything and so we got away without having to buy anything but a coke and popcorn.

Here we are in front of the stage. We had seats on row 4 so we were able to see everything up close.

We had a close up view of Grover.

Since the commisary was close by we decided to shop for a few groceries. JD LOVES to drive the cart. George does NOT!

A Perfect Saturday

We had perfect weather day for our outings. Here we are at Sears admiring the Christmas decorations in shorts and a T-shirt. JD recognizes all the Christmas things that are out already and points them out to us in case we haven't noticed them or appreciated them properly.
He also rode the train at the mall. JD LOVES LOVES LOVES the train. It doesn't matter that it only goes around in a little circle. To JD it is the greatest thing ever. And to make it even better, this week the Christmas decorations were up in the middle. Santa was also at the mall. JD and I talked to him but he didn't want to sit on Santa's lap for a picture. Oh well, maybe next time.

And, since today's weather was so perfect we decided to go to the pool. OK, the pool we go to is indoors. BUT, it will still get too cold for us to get in at some point this winter. All you folks in cold climates -- this is the time of year you can envy our weather. We have Christmas and swimming all in the same day.

Trunk or Treat

We enjoyed the ward trunk or treat party last night. We decorated our truck we spooky spiders and caution tape. Here is JD getting an early start on the candy eating. George's shirt says, "This invisible Man Costume is Defective." We thought it was a great costume.
JD really enjoyed this spooky display by the Smith family.

BUT, this was his favorite thing -- the hay ride. We rode it several times.
