Another football season is underway and we went to our first game this evening. JD was very excited and started the night sitting on his seat.
That didn't last long. The railing in front of the cheerleaders was much more exciting.

JD has been really enjoying his swimming lessons. Thanks to our VERY kind and patient swim teacher Mark, JD can doggie paddle.

We stopped at the grocery store on the way home from school and JD had to have a pumpkin. I figured since they only cost $2.49 we could buy one. Once we got home he insisted we needed to cut a face in it. I don't think it will make it to Halloween unless we want a science experiment.
We've been to the spooky Halloween store and tried on masks. JD is ALL ABOUT HALLOWEEN.This little child of God is not doing such a good job behaving himself in Primary yet. We are working on it though!
We have swim lessons twice a week. I got this one picture taken before the battery in my camera gave out. I'll try to remember to take it to the p0ol again sometime. JD has gotten to be a pretty good little swimmer thanks to our fabulous swim teacher Mark.
JD has been promoted again at school. He is now in the Butterfly class. He does so much artwork that I can't even take pictures of it all. Here is his latest collection.
JD's nap was another victim of Hurricane Ike. Schools closed early today because they are being used to house refugees from the coast. JD's teacher said the kids just wouldn't settle down for nap and people kept coming in early to pick up so they just gave up. No nap at school means JD was REALLY sleepy this afternoon when we got home. I thought he was getting awfully quiet and went in to check on him. This is what I found. YES, he is wearing his Halloween costume already. He has a couple to pick from but today he chose Buzz Lightyear. 
We are back at gymnastics for the fall session. Today was our first class. JD had a fun time walking between the parallel bars.

And, in the end he got a stamp on his hand. As a side bonus he was very sleepy when we got home. YEA for gymnastics.
Hooray for the Salvation Army. We donated our old furniture from the living room and they came and took it away on Saturday. My mom would be sad to learn that we donated her "lovely" pink and blue flowered couches that only the hometeachers were allowed to sit on --- BUT -- oh well. They came on Saturday while JD was napping and when he woke up he notice "couches are gone" and immediately decided it would be a great place for his little table and other toys. Here he is eating a corn dog in his new room.
