Our day began peacefully enough. This is the calm before the storm. At six this morning . . .

Lucy arrived!

In my efforts to get a picture of Lucy and JD together JD learned the "down" command.

It only took Lucy a minute to figure out that JD isn't a very neat eater. She was more than happy to clean up the crumbs he dropped.

She continued her job as a K-9 dust buster and cleaned up JD's chair.

Lucy even helped supervise JD's bath. She is only with us for a couple days so tune in tomorrow for more "Adventures With Lucy."

is lucy a test run for a possible new family member?
Well, yes and no. Lucy belongs to a co-worker who went away for spring break. I still like dogs in theory, but in reality they are a lot of work for ME. Lucy is nice because she is grown up and well trained. I'm definately not up for a puppy.
