Mijo
George called Grandpa to check in and we ended up with an invitation to come eat. YUM!!! As soon as JD heard we were going to Grandpa's he started packing up his backpack with toys. He carried it around on his back for a good hour before it was time to go. JD says, "Grandpa calls me Mijo." I think JD is a little confused by this spanish term of endearment.

My Spanish is good enough to understand exactly what was meant. "Mijo" may not be a true Spanish word, but it conveys the sentiment of "my little son" (or grandson). A very endearing sentiment. It sounds as if it is said with love. I'm sure it is.
