We tried to exploit our child and get a little child labor out of him this morning. We are harvesting our pecan crop and thought the extra hands would come in handy.
Things didn't quite go as planned. JD enjoyed playing with sticks and crunching up leaves but never did quite get the idea of picking up nuts.
We did get a pretty good collection even without the assistance of child labor. We got enough for a pecan pie anyway.

there is nothing better than fried turkey and pecan pie.....maybe we'll show up for thanksgiving.
Keith is coming -- you're invited. The more the merrier! We've been collecting nuts every evening. I think we have enough for several pies now.
