Happy New Year!! We managed to stay up until midnight last night to ring in the new year. JD liked the firecrakers at midnight --- but Lu Lu not so much. We enjoyed some time today at the park.
JD and Lu Lu investigated the water.
JD enjoyed the playground equipment. It was a beautiful day to be outside without a jacket.

Our dogs don't care for the fireworks either. I almost called at 10 PM California time to wish you a happy New Year, but I was having a hard time staying awake.
Why is it harder to stay up for New Year's Eve than any other day?
