Bass Pro Shops

A new branch of George's favorite store opened nearby so we had to check it out.  The new Bass Pro Shops has a bowling alley in it.  The ball returns were exceptionally cool.
We liked the bowling balls too.  Notice George looking on in disgust.  At $30 an hour he said, "NO" to JD's pleas to bowl a round.
I thought JD was to big to drive the boat but he insisted that I take his picture behind the wheel.
In other summer news --- here is my first completed summer sewing project.  I love this Texas wildflower fabric and finally found enough time to turn it into a quilt.

Kids Night Out

JD's favorite Saturday night -- Kids Night Out at the martial arts studio.  They used to call it Parents Night Out --- but it seems like we parents had no place to go and kids just liked getting together and playing dodgeball.

Summer Week 2

JD spent week 2 of summer at baseball camp.  It was a bit rainy but the boys didn't seem to mind getting wet.
We were happy to have a visit from one of the Ridings.  Holly came through and stayed just long enough to eat some BBQ with us.  YUMMY Rudy's!!

Week One of Summer is Gone

AND --- it has been great!
Our neighborhood pool opened.  JD and I went for our first swim of the summer.
The first week of the summer is always basketball camp.  Here is JD and his posse in action.  Besides Lincoln we were happy to see a number of our cub scout friends there.
When I asked them to pose for a picture by the bulldog the boys had to both take their picture with their head in its mouth.
AHHH boys --- gotta love them!

Photo Bomb

JD says, "thelast day of school is the best day of school."  We were trying to selfie the last day of school and Rosie was just not going to have it.  She thinks she has to be in the middle of whatever we are doing.  I'm sure she is happy to see the end of school too --- it means her people are going to be home more!

Den 8

Here they are - the boys of Den 8.  Love these boys and their dedicated Den Leader George.  We've all had a lot of fun together.

D-Bat

JD has found a new favorite place.  D-Bat has indoor batting cages with machines that throw pitches at you as long as you will throw money into them.  They never get tired like Dad's arm does.
Here is the master at work.
After all that batting practice brown meat in Lockhart was a must.  I think George just wanted to take a little drive because for the first time in about a month we had a sunny afternoon.
