Summer Continues

We continue to enjoy our summer with some fun craft projects at JD's school.
This week was fairy tale week. JD made a castle out of recycled stuff, two dragon puppets (one from a sock and one from a paper bag) and a shield. SERIOUSLY - his teachers are geniuses to think all these projects up.
We went on a field trip to see Toy Story 3. These 3 children posed for a silly picture.
When others arrived we had to be more serious. The little girl to the left of JD (in the blue shorts) is his best friend Kate. JD always asks if he is going to be as tall as Kate. Since Kate's mom is 6 feet tall I have to tell him --- "probably not." Kate only has brothers so even though she is a girl everyone says she plays like a boy.
There were a LOT of little Eagles at the theater. They were all very well behaved.
We visited the library and the playground at the school JD will go to in the fall.
Dad had a craving for Chinese food. JD worked hard to try to eat with "chomp sticks."
It was hard but he did manage to get a few bites into his mouth.
